Smell Gas?
- Open doors and windows to get fresh air into your property.
- Turn off the gas at the mains. (Move the supply handle until it's at 90 degrees from the pipe to shut off the gas supply.
- IMPORTANT: Leave the property now before you make a call.
- Phone the National Gas Emergencies when outside on 0800 111 999.
- **Only use a mobile phone from outside the property.**
- Follow the advice given and wait outside for an engineer to arrive.
- If you are feeling poorly, visit your local hospital A&E immediately. Tell them you may have been exposed to a gas leak or possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Don't smoke, light a match or use any naked flames.
- Don't Turn any electrical switches on or off.
- Don't use doorbells, mobile phones or any other electrical devices as these could cause a spark.
